Moralex Flooring is a family owned company that was officially formed in 1992 when two brothers, each with years of construction experience decided to join forces and focus on the skill that was part of their family heritage...installation of tile and natural stone. One of our early slogans was "One quality job at a time". While that still reflects our philosophy, the reality is that the brothers found themselves in such demand that the two brothers became a team of four, and then a team of six.....continually growing to accommodate the request for their services.
For years our office was located in Madisonville, Tennessee. We provided our services to clients in the Knoxville and surrounding areas. However to better serve our clients, in May, 2008, we opened the new MORALEX FLOORING GALLERY at 832 Mulberry Street in historic Loudon, Tennessee. At this location we opened a beautiful showroom and design center, as well as expanding our office space.
We thus are a very versatile company, offering design, sales and installation. While enjoying a close working relationship with many interior designers, owners David and Tony Morales are artists in their own rank. Their instincts about layout and design of tile have been proven to the degree that many clients simply give them free rein to "just do what looks good to you". Decorators and designers know that they don't need detailed, "to scale" drawings to have their visions executed as they wish. Our design center is a place where designers feel free to bring their clients, and private individuals who have no idea where to start can find a storehouse of books, drawings, ideas and that special attention that only Tony Morales can give them.
Our showroom offers a wide variety of products. Here we invite our clients as well as the general public to take advantage of the personal attention that cannot be found in your local bulk tile dealer. We sell all the standard ceramic/porcelain tiles, natural stone & marble. But we are also one of the few distributors and installers of natural Mexican Saltillo tile. Do you need marble or granite counter tops? We offer these as well. And we use one of the best fabricators in the Knoxville area. Our sales staff thrives on finding unique and avant-garde products for our clients. Moralex Flooring carries many green products such as bamboo and cork.
However, installation is still our forte. Our company goal is always to provide a high-quality install that will please our clients for years to come. Private individuals know that we will treat their home as if it was our own. We are well known as a trustworthy company with a reputation for cleanliness. Walk-in showers, kitchen backsplashes, all floor and wall tile, Jacuzzis, pools and exterior applications, counter tops, fire places, hand-made borders and custom mosaics......we do it all. Much of the business we conduct is from "word of mouth".
Commercial contractors appreciate our experience and flexibility. Whether the thousands of square feet of floor and wall tile we have installed at the University of Tennessee or the few square feet we install in a local restaurant, with our background in all aspects of construction we have an innate perception of how tile installation fits into the entire project. With special pricing for both sales and install, we have given commercial contractors the edge of big company prices with small company accountability. is a small family owned and operated company. We do not have a vision of opening several branches. All of us take pride in helping our clients, whether large contractors or an aging retired couple, to make reality of their ideas. Therefore, the client that we are helping right now is the most important client to us.
